Welcome to Kingswood - A new place of beauty and opportunity for West Sussex.
We have worked hard to make Kingswood the right solution to Horsham’s housing crisis; a walkable, sustainable, community-led small town that is informed by tradition and embraces the future. We oppose carbon-copy house building added on to the edge of existing settlements with a reliance on the car and already struggling infrastructure.

Kingswood - A LEGACY FOR THE FUTURE
Our Place was founded to create enlightened and sustainable places that respond to the very real national housing crisis as well as the need for new ways of living and working; places that respect local identity and bring Nature and community to the heart of new places we can be proud of.
The idea of Kingswood has been driven by a desire to build a sustainable new community for all ages, with schools, surgeries and jobs all within walking distance of where people live. Our goal is to create a successful, appropriate blend of homes, amenities and workspaces in a beautiful natural setting, where the areas of ancient woodland and hedgerows are retained and enhanced and made in to a central part of the new settlement. As a result the natural environment will form part of the every day life of its residents and be enjoyed by many more people as well as achieving biodiversity gains on the current farmland. A place that will foster a sense of belonging and pride.
These aren’t empty words, this is what drives us.
Our Place is working with Horsham District Council to deliver Kingswood - an exemplary small Sussex town that is the right solution for West Sussex.
At Kingswood we will create something of enduring value for generations to come - a place that is better for our young people, better for our older people, better for our communities, and better for our environment. A legacy for the future.

The PLACEMAKER
We apply a holistic view to all of our developments. We create successful, appropriate places by working with the community. We combine an in-depth understanding of local aspirations, needs and the location with our expertise in the latest environmental and social practices. Our long and short term insight, planning and management skills are all essential to achieving success.
We believe, ‘our places’, should be built to benefit the many different elements of our lives because the environments in which we live and work will shape our futures as well as those of generations to come. Stewardship is at the very heart of all we do.
